Confirm access to supported futures
Sign in to Coinbase Advanced and confirm eligibility for the supported BTC and ETH futures products. Citrine cannot change your region, onboarding or account eligibility.

Create your key on Coinbase's official pages. Import its JSON file directly into Citrine on Android.
Create a supported key
In Coinbase Developer Platform, create an ECDSA Coinbase App API key for the Default portfolio. Follow the current in-app instructions and Coinbase documentation; the website never asks for your Coinbase password or key.
Use only the required permissions
Enable View for account access. Real orders, manual closes and automatic protection require View + Trade and Complete. Do not enable Transfer, Receive, deposit or withdrawal permissions for Citrine.
Download the key file on Coinbase
After creating the key, select Download API key in Coinbase's confirmation modal to save the JSON file. Coinbase no longer downloads it automatically. Keep the file private and transfer it securely to your Android device if you created it elsewhere. Never upload it to this website or send it to support.
Import and validate the JSON file
Inside Citrine, open Settings, then Account, and import your downloaded JSON file. Review its validation result before selecting it for use. Imported credentials are encrypted in app-private storage.
Remove exposed copies
After successful import, use the app's option to delete the original file where available, or remove it securely yourself. Clearing app data does not remove files you exported or stored elsewhere.
Practice before live automation
Try Shadow with authenticated inputs or use Paper without a key. Review your allocation, overnight margin requirements and device readiness before starting Standard Mode.
Lost device or compromised key?
Revoke the API key directly in Coinbase's official key-management interface. Secure your Coinbase account and review positions and orders there. Never send key material to support.
