Where is Citrine available?
View Citrine's regional availability for current Google Play distribution and regional rollout status. Coinbase account eligibility and trading access are separate requirements.
What is Citrine?
Citrine is Android software for learning, testing and automating supported Coinbase Advanced BTC and ETH futures on Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE). It runs a built-in strategy on your device rather than asking you to build trading rules from scratch.
Do I deposit money with Citrine Edge?
No. Citrine Edge provides Android software, not a brokerage account or investment deposit service. Trading funds remain in your Coinbase account. Complete subscriptions pay for software access through Google Play, not trading deposits. Explore can be used without a subscription, and Paper Mode does not require an API key or real funds.
Can I try it without a subscription or API key?
Yes. Explore includes the Guided Demo, public market views, Paper Mode and standard historical backtesting without an API key. Connected account views, Observation and Shadow require an eligible key. Real account writes require Complete and an eligible View + Trade key.
Which directions can Citrine trade?
The current strategy supports BTC buy entries and ETH buy or sell entries. It monitors both markets within one shared allocation. Coinbase controls product and account eligibility.
Does Citrine hold my money or API keys?
Funds stay at Coinbase. Imported credentials are encrypted in app-private storage on your Android device and are not sent to Citrine Edge for remote custody. Account requests go directly to Coinbase. Billing verification, support and data delivery use network services described in the privacy policy.
Does Citrine run in the cloud?
Trading runs on your Android device. Keep it powered, connected and allowed to operate in the background. A dedicated device can run automation while a second uses Observation to monitor the account.
Can I place or close orders in Observation?
No. Observation does not place trades or manage protection, including manual closes. Use Coinbase directly for urgent action, or leave Observation and satisfy Citrine's real-trading requirements.
How do Paper and Shadow differ?
Paper uses configurable hypothetical equity and standard simulation fees. Shadow starts a simulated session with authenticated account-based funds and available percentage-fee information. It then follows its own simulated ledger, not every subsequent change to the real account. Neither places real orders.
What happens if the phone disconnects?
Device-side management requires power and connectivity. Existing Coinbase-hosted protective orders can remain at the exchange, but their execution is not guaranteed. After an interruption, review Citrine's status and verify positions directly at Coinbase; do not assume automation resumed.
Why can conditions look ready without an entry?
Conditions are only part of entry eligibility. Market availability, direction, active timers, account access, open exposure and available funds can also matter. Edge details explain the current requirements and estimates.
Are backtest results predictions?
No. They are hypothetical historical simulations with data and modeling limitations. Fees, slippage, funding, margin, liquidity and live execution can differ. Evaluate multiple periods and the assumptions, not only a headline return.
What does Complete cost?
US pricing is $29.99 per month or $299.99 per year, plus applicable taxes. Google Play displays current localized pricing and purchase terms. Coinbase trading costs are separate. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Google Play.
Does a subscription guarantee profit or protection?
No. A subscription pays for software features, not returns or a managed investment. Futures and automation involve substantial risk. Protective orders cannot prevent every loss or guarantee execution.
Is Citrine affiliated with Coinbase?
No. Citrine is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Coinbase.
Where should I go for an urgent position issue?
Use Coinbase directly to inspect and manage your account. Citrine support is not an emergency trading service. Never include API keys, passphrases, account identifiers or private key material in a support request.
