Product guide

A little context goes a long way.

The Guided Demo inside Citrine introduces the whole workspace with an example account. Reopen it from Support whenever you need a refresher.

A first session without account credentials

  1. Install the official app and choose Explore. No subscription or Coinbase API key is needed for this first session.
  2. Open the Guided Demo in Support to see how the workspace, controls and details fit together.
  3. Try Paper Mode with a hypothetical balance. Open Edge details to inspect conditions and capacity, then check position and portfolio details as the session develops.
  4. Run a standard backtest over completed dates with available data. Compare net results, fees, funding coverage and drawdown before exporting the details.

Connecting an account is a separate step. Follow the setup guide when you are ready, or use the hands-on reviewer kit for product facts and native screenshots.

Still deciding what software fits? The Android Coinbase futures bot buyer guide separates execution, credential access, operating requirements and strategy fit.

Share your first-session experience

If you use Android and are considering Coinbase Advanced futures software, try the free workflow above and tell us how it went. No purchase, API key, deposit or live trade is required.

  • Could you find the entry conditions and capacity in Edge details?
  • Could you explain the backtest's net result using its costs and open-position details?
  • What would make you return to Citrine, and what, if anything, got in the way?

Send your feedback under "App behavior" and start the message with "Citrine first session". Mention the app version, Android version and task you tried. Honest criticism is welcome; a store review is not required. Please leave out API keys, account identifiers and private trading exports.

Markets and Edge

Charts show market context. Edge summarizes conditions; its details explain entry requirements, timers and estimated capacity. A ready condition is not a guarantee of an immediate order.

Allocation and positions

Allocation sets the shared margin budget. Position cards show exposure, entry, unrealized PnL and protection state. Available funds must also cover applicable fees.

Backtest results

Review the selected period, trades, costs, funding coverage and peak-to-trough drawdown. Open the result details to inspect the accounting and assumptions, or export the run for your own analysis.

Backtesting methodology

Play, Pause and Exit

Play starts or resumes the selected mode when its requirements are satisfied. Pause holds new entries; eligible live-position management can continue. Exit Citrine shuts down the local runtime without automatically closing positions or canceling existing exchange orders.

Markets can close or become restricted

Citrine preserves useful market context and reports availability. Reopening does not trigger a trade by itself: the app still needs fresh exchange state, qualifying conditions and sufficient capacity.

Which mode should I use?

Use Paper to practice with hypothetical funds, Shadow for an account-based simulated session, Observation for account monitoring, and Standard with Complete for real automation.

Practical checklists and result examples

The Citrine user handbook includes a first-session checklist, examples for reading fees, funding and drawdown, and a guide to reporting an issue without sharing private account information.
